What App Store reviewers say overall

4.5
From 5,044 ratings on the App Store

"Users find the app valuable for accurate heart monitoring. They appreciate its advanced data capabilities. Some say it may be helpful for detecting heart conditions." — Apple's automatically generated summary of ECG+ App Store reviews

ECG+ has been reviewed by Apple Watch owners across the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan, China, Italy and more — in their own languages.

Across those reviews, a few themes come up again and again:

• ECG+ goes beyond the basic Apple ECG, surfacing HRV, QT/QTc intervals and premature beats that the built-in app doesn't break down.

• The in-app explanations make the findings understandable, so a recording isn't just a waveform — it's something users can actually read.

• Reviewers — including a paramedic and a retired cardiac nurse — repeatedly describe using the exported strips and reports to inform their doctor, GP or cardiologist, and several credit it with catching events that were later confirmed in the ER.

You can read the full, unfiltered review history any time on the ECG+ App Store page.

What their doctor said

A recurring reason people keep using ECG+: it gives them something concrete to bring to their GP, cardiologist or A&E — and their doctors notice.

"Very helpful app"
I had an appointment with a cardiologist today. I printed my ECGs from this ECG+ app. The cardiologist's response was: "wow, this just saved us such an amount of time and research". He could immediately see the direction he should be looking further into.

"Advanced readings to help your cardiologist"
Today I showed my Doctor several ECGs derived from my Apple Watch through ECG+ and advanced data analysis. He was really impressed and helped answer a lot of my questions on PACs and PVCs. Apple ECG alone will not identify enough of what's going on. Highly recommend this app.

"Helps to understand what's going on"
It helps me understand the variations of flutter and fibrillations I regularly get. A&E were certainly happy to see the AFib results.

"Great app"
As a retired cardiac nurse this app makes me realise I had not forgotten how to read and analyse an ECG. It is a useful tool and as a sufferer of atrial fibrillation it makes an informed record for my GP.

Lifesaver — even my doctor is happy to have the strips so I am able to email them etc. I am so thankful for this app!

Making sense of your Apple Watch ECG

Reviewers describe ECG+ turning a single Apple Watch recording into something they can actually understand — and act on.

"Very accurate"
As a CT ICU nurse of 34 years I find the readings on the EKG app to be surprisingly accurate! I'm very impressed with the quality of the telemetry given that it's from a watch on my wrist. It's also quite reassuring as I get older to know that it can automatically monitor for arrhythmia so I can be more proactive in following up with my physician on my heart health.

"Professionally done!! Love it"
It's impressive to see how accurately those R dots are marked on the strip automatically, even when there is quite some noise in the reading — just impressive. PACs are identified, accurate enough for me to better understand what's happening. Reporting is fantastic, so much better than Apple's report.

"Product Maturity is Exceptional"
I recognized the value in this app as an early adopter. Having been a Paramedic for many, many years. The developers are truly pushing and advancing the data and its history to new levels which amaze me and inform my life decisions.

"ChatGPT fixed"
I'm impressed by its depth and detail. The app goes beyond the standard Apple ECG by providing insights into HRV, QT/QTc intervals, and potential arrhythmias. Overall it's a great companion for anyone serious about monitoring their heart health. Verdict: Highly recommended.

"感觉不错" (Pretty good)
Apple自带软件不能分析早搏,这个可以根据每次心电图记录统计早搏情况,是对Apple的很好补充。 Apple's built-in software cannot analyse premature beats, but this app can track them for each ECG recording. A great supplement to Apple.

"Amazing."
This is an amazing tool, one of the best apps I have on my phone, linked to the Apple Watch. It's let me track some difficult recovery and see improvements I wouldn't have otherwise known about. Rich data.

"One of its Kind - Seamless Quality"
Does exactly what it says on the tin. No other app integrates as neatly with HealthKit while also giving you such easy access to R-R data with graphs and additional info as well.

When it mattered most

Some reviewers describe ECG+ being there at the moment that counted — flagging something real that led to a doctor visit, an ER trip, or a diagnosis.

"ECG+ Saved My Life"
I have been an ECG+ subscriber since March 2020. On January 28th my watch picked up an atrial fibrillation event. I notified my doctor who had me in the very next afternoon. I was in the ER an hour later and was diagnosed with Atrial Flutter. I had a cardioversion which shocked my heart back into a normal sinus rhythm. I absolutely believe ECG+ saved my life.

"Lifesaver"
Woke up in the night not feeling right. Put on my watch and used ECG+ and found I was in A-fib. Never had this before so went to the ER. Wonderful product and a life saver.

"Accurate"
I am a retired Paramedic and can read ECGs very well. I knew I was having an irregular heart rhythm so I downloaded this ecg+ app and printed out my latest one lead ECG. I went to the Emergency Room with the print out — ecg+ was spot on and matched the 12-lead in the ER. The ER doc was quite impressed with the interpretation and print out.

"Appreciate this app!"
Wanted to say thank you for this app! Been using to track long QT. Wore a holter monitor with no long QT episodes. This app has been great for showing episodes when they happen to physician, as I had none while wearing the monitor.
